Mr. Thomas G. Faulkner, III
President

Tom is the Chief Executive Officer of the corporation.  He has been Community Development Consultant to communities, non-profits, and for-profits since 1987 when he was the owner of Genesis Associates.   He served as the first President of Greenville Housing Futures, Inc.; Executive Director, Anderson Housing Authority; Deputy Director, Greenville Housing Authority; and as Renewal and Development Administrator of the City of Greenville.   He is a graduate of Leadership South Carolina. Leadership Greenville, and Leadership Greer.  He is a Certified NDC Housing Development Finance Professional.  Tom completed his Doctor of Ministry degree at Erskine Theological Seminary in May of 2007.  Prior to his doctoral studies, he received a M.B.A. from Furman and Clemson Universities; a M.A. in Urban Studies from the University of Chicago; and a B.A. in English and Psychology from the University of Virginia.

Ms. Helen Barksdale
Chief Financial Officer/Development Coordinator

Helen oversees the development activities of the corporation and directs all financial operations.  She has a rich experience in community development.  She was the Director of Housing Counseling for the Urban League of the Upstate.   She has worked with numerous neighborhood organizations including Within Reach and Green Avenue Multi-Service Center. She is a certified NDC Housing Development Finance Professional and Economic Development Finance Professional and is a Certified Housing Counselor through the North Carolina Association of Housing Counselors.  She is a graduate of Leadership Greenville.  She holds a B.S. degree in Accounting and an M.B.A. degree with an Accounting specialty from the University of Phoenix.

Ms. Natoshia D. Mayer
Assistant to the President, Home Ownership Coordinator

Natoshia handles all aspects of Nehemiah’s development operations.  Her present specialties are in the areas of housing rehabilitation and subdivision development.  She has recently assisted the A.M.E. Church in creating two CDC’s that will provide housing, economic development, and human services in Abbeville, McCormick, and Greenwood Counties.  She was instrumental in organizing and creating Community Restoration CDC, a non-profit created by River of Life Outreach Ministries.   She is a certified NDC Housing Development Finance Professional.  She is a certified Housing Counselor through the North Carolina Association of Housing Counselors. She holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Human Services from Liberty University.

Mr. William S. Nelson, II
Real Estate Consultant, Historian

For 34 years, Will was a partner with Nelson, Mullins, Riley & Scarborough Law Firm in Columbia, South Carolina.  His specialty was Real Estate Law.  He has handled numerous types of real estate transactions locally and nationally, concentrating on large multi-state commercial development loans.  He has been involved in both residential and commercial work, representing both banks and other commercial lenders.  He has a rich appreciation and understanding of South Carolina and its history and has provided leadership to numerous organizations and churches over his lifetime.  He holds a B.A. degree with a major in History from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of South Carolina.
